The government has introduced the Green Homes Grant, a new initiative for homeowners to make improvements to reduce heat loss or convert their heating systems. The government will provide vouchers to cover the cost of up to two thirds of the home improvement measure. The value of the vouchers is capped at £5,000 or £10,000 for low income households or those receiving benefits. The tradesperson installing the solution will receive payment from the government for the value of the vouchers.
The voucher must be used for one primary measure, before installing a secondary measure. The vouchers are available now until March 31st 2021.
